Responsible for the observation on compliance and implementation of existing cost and inventory accounting policies and procedures, propose and draft revisions, when necessary, certifies correctness of records, coordinate and assist Plant Accountants with their functions related to cost ad inventory, lead the cost and inventory staff and perform some administrative functions. Undertake a variety of coordination with the connecting departments, stores and plants for the smooth preparation of reports that contribute towards the preparation of financial statement. Ensure that the timetable for the deadline is being followed.
Responsibilities:
Constructs data accumulation systems for a cost accounting process.
Creates and reviews the controls needed for data accumulation and reporting systems on a timely manner, either Monthly, Quarterly and Annually.
Gathers all documents, analyze transactions and monitors in transit accounts.
Monitors inventory transactions.
Reconcile inventory records and analyze variances. Recommends investigation for cycle counting to resolve issues, as required.
Observes proper compliance to company's work norms bounded by internal policies and guidelines.
Generates and analyzes spoilage reports.
Finalizes integrated transactions from inter-plant and warehouses.
Records inter-plant/department transfer and Product cost of Sales.
REQUIREMENTS:
Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy or Accounting Technology or equivalent.
At least one (1) year experience required.
Proficient with MS Office and Excel.
With knowledge in accounting software is an advantage
Willing to work on-site in Mandaluyong City.
Can work under pressure and strict deadlines.
