The Cost Accountant is responsible for providing extensive support to manufacturing plants, controllers, business leaders, and other Grace key stakeholders in matters related to product costing, annual direct manufacturing costs (DMC)/standard costs preparation and setup and other reporting requirements.
Major Responsibilities
Product Costing
· Prepare and calculate standard cost (Direct Material Cost) for newly extended materials.
· Execute cost simulations based on proposed changes to the cost structure.
· Process the calculation of activity prices and maintenance of changes in SAP.
Annual DMC
· Prepare and execute annual calculation of intercompany DMCs, activity prices updates, and costing runs execution.
· Prepare and analyze costing run results.
· Perform analysis of year-over-year standard cost changes by material, plants, and business.
Inventory Management Process
· Process approved inventory adjustment or write-off request.
· Prepare stores inventory reserves and posts corresponding journal entries.
· Weekly and Monthly Inventory Report.
· Inventory validation for Plants 5200, 5217, and 5219
· Inventory reconciliation (BASF)
Reports generation and provide first-level analysis for the following reports
· Analyze GR/IR Clearing balances and performs clean-up of outstanding items based on company policies monthly.
· Prepare Global GRIR report monthly.
· Generate monthly costs packages in SAP Business Process and Consolidation (BPC) reports.
· Prepare monthly Days-on-Hand (DOH) report (LA)
· Generates Purchase Order (PO) Report for Tax Review & Account Assignment
· Prepares utility accruals for NA Plants
· Performs consignment clearing
· Prepares MRP
· Prepares ACCA Production report
· Generate and prepares PPV report
Required Experience:
Bachelor's degree, Accountancy or equivalent.
· At least 3 to 4 years of working experience in a multi-national or shared service company.
· Strong computer skills and a fundamental working knowledge of MS Office applications, advanced Excel skills preferred (Managing spreadsheets, creating pivots, and using advanced formulas)
· Familiar with standard ERP reporting systems (SAP experience a plus).
Knowledgeable in Cost Accounting processes, reports, and analysis.
