DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
1. Coordinates physical inventory counts and cycle count by preparing a physical inventory schedule to comply with the Finance Department's close out activities and give other departments ample time to plan their activities.
2. Investigates inventory count variance/s by reconciling physical count with systems count to set internal control and safeguard the company's assets.
3. Updates standard product costs in the system, when needed, to determine impact of the cost changes on the brand's profitability.
4. Reports variances and their causes, focusing in particular on spending (direct labor and overhead) variances by doing cost analysis of production operation results to determine how to better manage cost and expenses.
5. Reconciles cost of sales and inventory accounts by reviewing and analyzing entries to present accurate financial statement reports.
6. Provides assistance to Plant Manager/Production Manager in preparing the annual production budgets by gathering financial data for the computation of direct labor and overhead.
7. Formulates pricing situational analysis by preparing the product cost estimate report for all stock keeping units (SKU's) to assist the Chief Accountant in identifying the need to recommend price changes.
8. Provides assistance to Logistics, Production, and Quality Assurance representatives in disposing obsolete/phased out inventories by preparing the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) reports and counting the declared inventories for disposal.
9. Performs other functions which may be assigned by the immediate superior from time to time.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS :
Graduate of Accounting with at least 2 years work experience
Has experience in cost accounting or 3 years in general accounting
Preferably with SAP experience
CPA is an advantage
Amenable to work in Muntinlupa Alabang
