MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Study and analyze capital budgeting requests
• Conduct physical inventory count regularly and investigate cycle counting variances to resolve issues
• Investigate cost variances to come up with a feasible recommendation
• Create and review the controls needed for data accumulation and reporting systems
• Review the current cost model and engage in the development for future projects
• Supervise budget preparation with the Construction Management Division (CMD) for upcoming projects
• Effectively supervise the Project Cost Accountants in establishing performance goals & objectives to enhance their professional development
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy with good scholastic records
• At least 5 years experience in project costing with a minimum of one year at the supervisory level
• Must have knowledge in preparing financial statements, account reconciliation, cost variance analysis and other month-end close tasks
• Proficient in using MS Office; Knowledge in Quickbooks is an advantage
• Has the ability to efficiently complete tasks with a high degree of accuracy
• Must be analytical, keen to details and provide sound judgment
• Has good command of the English language (both written and oral)
• Can work under pressure and willing to work on extended hours as needed
• Amenable to do site visit in different projects on a regular basis
