Position: Corporate Paralegal
Job Overview:
As a Corporate Paralegal, you will support the Legal team in the over-all implementation of legal works to be done in power biddings, acquisition, mergers including due diligence, pre to post power development. You shall assist the lawyer in preparing reports, conducting research, drafting legal corporate documents and keeps track of changes in the legal framework of the power company.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparing corporate documents and reports needed in the corporate office.
Conducting research, verifying facts and updates on the energy regulatory offices i.e DOE, ERC, NEA
Preparing and filing documents for bids, due diligence and for any other legal business activities of the company
Organizing and archiving documents
Assisting the lawyers/ legal team in a day-to-day basis
Keeping track of changes in legal framework, specifically in the electricity market and power utilities sector and providing timely updates on these changes
Qualifications:
-BS/AB degree in Paralegal or 4 years' equivalent business degree
-1 to 2 years' experience as a Corporate Paralegal or equivalent jd
-Basic knowledge in corporate housekeeping
-Awareness of business trends in the power industry
-Familiarity with financial accounting statements
-Accuracy and attention to detail
