We are looking for a talented Corporate Lawyer who will serve as in-house legal counsel for our company business services, partnerships, legal transactions, and contracts.
August 99 is a startup incubator. Its sister company, Loft Spaces, provides business services. Your main goal is to ensure that all our company's transactions comply with government laws and regulations, while actively helping our company avoid possible legal risks and violations. Additionally, you will also advise and consult client businesses and startups register, operate, and renew business licenses, permits, and contracts in Metro Manila.
Your Responsibilities:
Prepare the appropriate legal documents for trial or court proceedings.
Evaluate new business partnerships with vendors and subcontractors.
Review and evaluate documents for business permit registration for sole proprietorship, domestic, and foreign corporations.
Represent the company in legal proceedings.
Design and oversee the company's policy and position on legal matters.
Protect the company against legal risks and violations.
Examine the legal issues related to new products and services.
Negotiate deals on behalf of the company.
Guide management on regulatory and compliance issues to ensure compliance with legal regulations.
Bachelor's degree in Law.
Must have 5 years working experience specializing in Law/ Legal Services
Licensed to practice Law from the Integrated Bar of the Philippines
With experience in litigation and transactional areas of patent practice, including counseling clients on business aspects of intellectual property and contract matters.
Must have experience in business permit registration for sole proprietorship, domestic and foreign corporations.
Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, along with the ability to communicate effectively with others at all levels of the organization
Highly analytical with strong attention to detail
Outstanding managerial and negotiation skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Integrity and ability to work under high pressure
