What is this role about?
This role will prepare and review periodic and special finance and accounting reports for management's perusal. This role will also supervise subordinates in accordance to agreed key performance indicators, targets, and acceptable industry standards. As a Supervisor, this role will also participate in the development and implementation of company's goals, policies, and procedures related to accounting services and operations.
What will YOU do?
1. Prepare, review, and analyze, the bank reconciliation report and all supporting schedules and related reports for both statutory and management, and the periodic reconciliation and maintenance of all assigned accounts.
2. Supervise the works of subordinates consistent with assigned work duties and expected reports, and checking if assigned tasks are properly done and executed based on the procedures and accounting policies.
3. Monitor, verify, and approve within limit, transaction movements of all accounts of Bank Reconciliation Team, journal entries of the reconciliation and accounting adjustments.
4. Provide and coordinate with the auditors, for the schedules of cash accounts and other related accounts, and other audit requirements for external financial audit.
5. Collaborate with the team, other groups and departments, for any concerns, projects or initiatives.
6. Participate in the development and implementation of goals, policies, and procedures related to accounting services and operations.
7. File and maintain accounting records and reports of the group.
8. Perform other functions that may be assigned from time to time.
What will YOU need?
Must be a Certified Public Accountant
At least 5 years of total experience in areas of Accounting - with background in bank reconciliation, audit, and people management
In-depth knowledge of accounting standards and principles
Knowledge in government regulations and laws applicable to accounting
Must have excellent project management, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
Excellent skills in financial reporting for both statutory and management - can explain and discuss financial data with team members and various users of information
High-level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Oracle Netsuite
