Affinity Express, part of the Ayala Group of Companies, is looking for Copywriters to join our team!
The associate copywriter is responsible for generating original copy that promotes a client's product or service and grabs the attention of the target audience. This can include writing for social media, creating sales pitches, straplines, slogans, jingles and scripts.
Understand the work instructions and interpret the client's requirements and core messages
Get familiar with the product, target audience, and competitor activities in the market
Brainstorm ideas and concepts for the visual and wording
Collaborate with other members of the creative team
Write various copy options which may be presented to the client
Accept copy changes from an editor and modify copy until the client is satisfied
Be accountable for checking all the content being advertised is truthful and complies with codes of advertising practice
Check and proofread one's own work in terms of spelling, grammar, and content before submitting the output to the copy editor
Other Production Responsibilities
Maintain productivity and accuracy standards for the role and submit to Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) when necessary
Accept tasks assigned by superiors and/or Team Leader with minimal handover
Regularly coordinate, collaborate, and interact with team members to ensure cross-learning and continuous improvement
Abide by the policies and rules of the company and act in a professional manner at all times
Perform/render other duties or special projects, training and/or hours of work as may be reasonably required, and which are consistent with the general level of responsibility of this job.
You should have:
Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communication Arts, Mass Communication, and other related courses
Experience in copywriting is an advantage
Willing to work in shifting schedule
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Outstanding ability to think creatively, strategically, and identify and resolve problems
A team player and able to work well in a collaborative environment
Adapts well to a fast-paced working environment
Should have PC/Laptop and at least 10 MBPS of internet connection
