But outgoing creatives are always welcome; in fact, we also need someone who has the courage to try to make everyone laugh during serious meetings.
Can you produce 10,000 words a week? Are you driven, funny, and reasonably critical? Are you familiar with or willing to read The Elements of Style by William Strunk Jr. and E. B. White? You are the one we are looking for!
As a content writer, you research and produce digital-marketing content. Share your critical insights by attending weekly team meetings. As you help Unity expand, we support your career growth through regular coaching, training sessions, and two workshops a year.
How You Spend Your Eight Hours
Write compelling copy for landing pages and other sections of the company website
Research websites, credible online sources, and technical subjects under business process outsourcing (BPO)
Write white papers and blog reports on BPO
Conduct in-depth research on the global BPO industry and stay updated on BPO and search engine optimization (SEO) trends
Write company press releases and job postings for recruitment marketing
Help writers and editors with fact-checking
Receive coaching from the Editorial Team and attend training and workshops twice a year
Attend weekly team meetings and one-on-ones with the Editor-in-Chief
Ensure compliance with the in-house writing guidelines
Participate in monthly writing audits
Perform other tasks assigned by the Editor-in-Chief
What You Must Possess
Experience in copywriting and SEO (at least two years)
Background in technical writing and research writing (at least two years)
Experience in white paper writing and data analytics (at least two years)
Bachelor's or master's degree in journalism, English, development communication, mass communication, public relations, creative writing, international relations, marketing, library and information science, or any other related field
Excellent fact-checking and online research skills
Outstanding time management and analytical skills
Proficiency in verbal and written English
Familiarity with Associate Press (AP) style and the Chicago Manual of Style (a plus)
Experience working in the BPO industry (a plus)
