Job Summary:
The cook works and reports directly to the Chef and oversees the kitchen when the chef is off. Guide, train, evaluate and supervise the staff of the kitchen.
Assist the Chef in the direction and oversight of all culinary operations, including, but not limited to, preparation and production of all meals, food quality, and presentation, compliance with all safety and sanitation standards and regulations, team member productivity and performance, implementation of policies and procedures, cost controls and overall profitability
Create and implement menu selections for special banquet themes and events based on current food trends and regional tastes in partnership with the Executive Chef and Director of Food and Beverage, as needed
Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen and storage areas
Ensure compliance with local and company health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness standards
Assist in monitoring and developing team member performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision, conducting counseling and assisting with evaluations, training, scheduling and assigning work, and delivering recognition and reward
Opening & Closing shifts according to the relevant checklist
Pedantry on making high-quality products followed exact recipes
Reporting to the Chef on all exceptional things that happens during the shift
Doing daily tasks according to the weekly task schedule
Participating in all the meetings, training, or professional workshops needed for the development of the position
NDA signed before the beginning training period
Must come to the shift in a high hygienic condition
Place food orders and do regular inventory
Job Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of experience
Demonstrable experience in delivering excellent customer service
Effective communication skills
Ability to work under pressure
Excellent customer care skills
