Norhart is a U.S. based company who builds and manages luxury apartments in the United States. Norhart is driven by a simple purpose, to create a better way for us all to live. To fulfill that purpose, we need a fantastic team. We are looking to hire an outstanding Controller to join our team. You will be responsible for full cycle accounting and finance responsibilities for our U.S. based operation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following description of work to be performed by this individual is not intended to be all-inclusive. Rather, it focuses on the major tasks that must be accomplished. There are many necessary activities to satisfy any of the following performance guidelines.
Projects / Responsibilities:
Full cycle accounting and finance responsibilities.
Prepare balance sheets, monthly statements of income and cash flow of the company and properties for both internal and external reporting.
Prepare the monthly close out including internal bill backs for overhead expenses across the organization
Perform general book-keeping duties. Including posting information to accounting software and regularly reconciling accounts.
Perform reconciliations of bank accounts on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy.
Prepare budgets by creating schedules, analyzing, collecting and consolidating financial data; recommending plans.
Develop and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
Accomplish budget objectives by scheduling expenditures, initiating corrective actions and analyzing variances.
Analyze cost controls, cash flow, expenses and effectively communicate to the other management (to identify areas for improvement and action).
Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and construction draw processes.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and the accounting requirements of real estate organizations.
Demonstrated success working both individually and with a team in a fast-paced, high volume, deadline-oriented environment with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
Coordinate the preparation of annual taxes and audit process return with outside CPA firm
Other duties as directed and assigned.
Requirements
Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Bachelor's degree required with a concentration in real estate, finance, business or accounting.
Experience using Microsoft Dynamics F&SC is required.
CPA and/or MBA preferred.
Multifamily real estate development, construction or property management experience (preferred).
Experience working with QuickBooks and more sophisticated accounting packages, e.g. AppFolio, Yardi, Sage, Oracle etc.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
