About the Role
We are looking for a Junior and Senior Control Systems & Automation Engineer who will be responsible with:
Design, program, implement and integrate, commission, modify and maintain digital and analogue control systems, control networks and related technology
Estimates and Proposals development and production, including coordination of materials, services and cost inputs from and relationships with suppliers
Writing reports and compiling data regarding existing and potential controls and automation engineering projects and studies
Senior: Supervise, structure and coordinate and review work outputs, train and upskill, and support personnel for the business
Project delivery scheduling, coordination, and support
Provide technical support to field-based staff
Client liaison and engagement in Australia, The Philippines, and regionally as-required

Qualifications and Experience
Electrical / Mechatronics / Controls & Automation / Computer Technologies bachelor's Engineering degree
3+ years of experience in the design of automated or process control systems
Proficient in design, engineering and calculation software
Demonstrated and working knowledge of Electrical, Instrumentation, and Controls principals
Demonstrated experience in developing and designing the Control Systems that drive complex industrial plant and assets
Demonstrated and working knowledge of software and IIoT Solutions
Demonstrated and working knowledge of ladder logic, function block diagram and structured text
Project coordination / management to plan, organise and communicate project task priorities and schedule interdependencies with other engineering resources
Skills / expertise in networking and industrial communications (CISCO, Microsoft certifications), programming and project delivery
Cyber security experience in firewalls (functionality and implementation), identifying network and system vulnerabilities and other relevant capabilities
Ability to design hydraulic and pneumatic based sub systems highly regarded
Responsibilities
Electrical design and engineering - covering power distribution, control circuit schematic diagrams, electrical protection systems, network communications and VFD configuration
Control systems design - e.g. Rockwell, Emmerson (GE) and Schneider
Distributed control system (DCS) - e.g. Yokogawa
RTU and Programmable Logic Control (PLC) - code development and programming - e.g. Siemens, Schneider, and Rockwell
HMI / SCADA system - e.g. SciTech, CITECT, and Simplicity
Develop communication systems using Modbus TCP, Modbus RTU, HART protocol, CANbus

Analyse technical specifications; apply an understanding and application of relevant standards, codes and guidelines; and create detailed control system/automation designs, bill of materials, and job estimates and proposals
Project Proposal, Estimation, and Coordination
Scope of work and project framing
Estimate structuring, inputs review and supervision, scenarios coordination, and recommendation
Materials/equipment specifications and cost database in Xero
Estimates, including option scenarios as instructed
Supplier engagement, relationship management, and RFQ coordination
Procurement planning, coordination, and expediting
Works / Project scheduling inputs review and supervision Xero Projects utilisation, record keeping, costs and progress monitoring and reporting
Project/job estimation
Proposal documentation administration
Control system design documentation covering specifications, control philosophy, I/O lists, cause and effect and scopes of work
Prepare data sheets, instrumentation setting sheets, material schedules, component sourcing, technical reports and operator manuals
Identify, assess and manage/mitigate risk in a proactive manner to successfully deliver tasks within required budget, time and safety guideline
Fully document systems / equipment developed to suit complete asset life cycle services
Provide technical support to the Operations Group through continuous improvement, maintenance planning requirements, troubleshooting and fault finding
Interpret, mark-up and or modify P&ID's in accordance with selected instrumentation
Conduct Risk Management through preparation of risk assessments and HAZOP's
Develop plans and schedules
PID Loop Tuning on complex systems
Configuration of network switches, field instrumentation and Variable Speed Drives
