Key Responsibilities
The Contract Manager will perform a range of duties including negotiating commercial terms, review of solution and pricing proposals, evaluating bids, risks assessment, and assist the Commercial Head with commercial and strategic support for Business Units and other stakeholders.
The incumbent should enjoy preparing and reviewing solutions, pricing proposals, demonstrating excellent attention to details. Commercially focused Finance professional with a pro-active outlook and operational exposures is a good match. In addition to being an excellent communicator, candidate should also possess in-depth knowledge of logistics industry to create best possible commercial controls and structures to enable operations and other cross-functional teams to streamline their expenditures and/or optimize contribution margin and make well-informed business decisions.
Duties and Responsibilities
Support the Company's strategies to optimize and accelerate growth by ensuring sound Commercial Management Principles are practiced across the organization.
Effectively manage Agreements with Maersk OCF Principals/Customers together with Operations, Business Development, Account Management, such that Maersk OCF's interests are properly protected in the course of providing outstanding service to its Principals/Customers. Perform Maersk OCF Principals/Customers Agreement -related tasks.
Effectively manage Agreement with Suppliers together with Procurement, ensuring that Maersk OCF's interests are protected and that any risks in the Supplier Contracts are properly mitigated. Perform Supplier Agreement-related tasks.
Ensuring that the Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) requests are properly taken up in the cost proposal prior to Head of FNA seeking approval from the Region based on financial authority matrix.
Ensuring all Lease Agreement are duly covered by Lease Commitment form prior to approval and signing of Head of FNA
Ensuring that cost elements used in the commercial pricing are updated (e.g., regional wage rates, MHEs, Pallets, Warehouse Leases, etc.)
We are looking for
Bachelor's Degree in Business / Finance (CPA) or Bar Passer
A minimum of 5 years in a commercial managerial role, preferably within the logistics or sales and distributions industry.
In-depth awareness or be knowledgeable of government regulatory requirements and applicable laws concerning logistics business and operations.
Attention to detail, delegation and management experience, excellent communication skills, and ability to work independently within a team-oriented structure.
Exceptional sensitivity skills and ability to tell when something is wrong or likely to go wrong.
Strong communication skills including the ability to translate numbers into a business story.
Sound understanding of financial and commercial management practices and reporting.
Strong stakeholder management and ability to communicate with all levels of the business.
