The Opportunity
Compliance Director is primarily responsible for owning and uplifting the MBPS compliance program and ensuring the company's compliance with applicable local regulations and global policies & standards. He/She will also act as a key advisor to the MBPS leadership team on all matters related to compliance and will work closely with the second line of defense compliance officer.

We are looking for someone with:
Completion of post-secondary studies, with a bachelor's degree in Law, Finance or Business Administration
10-year Experience in Compliance, with Legal background is preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complicated messages relating to compliance issues. Proficient in MS Office Suite of products including MS Word, Excel, Power Point

Strong communication and analytical skills
Ability to work independently under pressure and make prompt decisions in a fast-paced environment, with changing priorities
Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with immediate stakeholders
Ability to work with multiple objectives, and conflicting priorities.
Ability to develop and deliver effective communication to improve business unit understanding of compliance issues.
On the job you will:
Ensure the company's compliance with regulations and issuances applicable to the company's operations by monitoring regulatory deliverables and engaging with necessary stakeholder to ensure we fulfill our compliance and reporting obligations.
Act as a key advisor to the MBPS management, including the Senior Leadership Team, on all matters relating to local regulatory and global company compliance.
Lead the development of the Compliance program at MBPS through effective communication with MBPS leadership and active participation in projects and discussions aimed at evolving the overall compliance culture
Monitor the performance of the compliance program by conducting periodic compliance reviews to ensure policies and procedures are being followed and adjust the program as necessary
Create and prepare memos, reports and bulletins communicating regulatory updates of compliance issues for distribution internally or to various committees in a concise and professional manner
Govern the responsibility to report misconduct and noncompliance, the path for reporting, and protection from retaliation
Provide Compliance Assessment on all control framework being developed and deployed in MBPS
Liaise with legal and regulatory bodies on compliance-related audits, reviews and issues
Provide guidance and support on the formation of corrective and/or preventive action plans on compliance related issues
Ensures all employees complete assigned mandatory training modules in a timely manner
Carry out periodic evaluation of the compliance Programs and make appropriate changes and improvements
