Functional overview
The Compensation & Benefits Officer/Company Nurse will provide basic healthcare services to a company's employees. They may be responsible for providing general first aid when needed, along with assessing employee health risks and promoting employee health. Company nurses work to improve customer retention and lower company healthcare costs.
Minimum Qualifications
With at least (4) year work related experience
Must be a registered Nurse (has active PRC license)
This is a day shift job; candidate must be willing to work in our BGC Office
Nurse with Occupational Safety and Hazard Training (BOSH) certificate preferred but not required
Duties and responsibilities:
Medical Benefits
Ensure timely enrollment and deletion of employee & dependents to HMO and company's Group Life Insurance
Monitor and ensure release and return of HMO cards
Review quarterly HMO utilization of the organization
Accurate and timely computation/payment of statement of account, i.e. HMO, pre-employment medical exam provider, Group Life insurance and other medical providers
Ensure timely filling of employee's complete HMO reimbursement documents and the release of check
Ensure timely submission of employee's sickness and maternity notification to SSS
Accommodates processing of employee sickness and maternity benefits and ensure company's 100% reimbursement
Accommodates enrollment of new hire employees in company's Philhealth
Timely release of Philhealth documents to the confined employees
Coordinates with HRBPs, Payroll Team and other department in relation to medical related benefits
Organize and coordinate the company's Annual Physical Exam (APE) and Wellness Program
Attending other client concern in terms of medical related benefits.
Focus on Wellness
Conducts and formulate health programs
Develops and implements health and safety policies
Identifies environmental, safety and health risk assessment upon regular workplace inspection
Aids in the investigation of illness, accidents or injuries occurring in the workplace
Review and maintain average utilization of the company's HMO
Ensure 100% compliance in PME and APE
Company Nurse
Provide prompt and adequate treatment of occupational and non-occupational injuries and disease, including medical advice, consultations, observation, diagnosis, check-up and treatment thereof;
Order, interpret and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient's clinical problems and health care needs;
Record physical findings, and formulate plan and prognosis, based on patient's condition;
Discuss case with physician and other health professionals to prepare comprehensive patient care plan;
Maintain an accurate database of medical-related files of employees such as, but not limited to, the following:
Pre-employment medical exam results
Annual physical exam results
Regular clinic reports
X-ray plates and other laboratory exams
Educate patients on how to manage illness, such as teaching them about post-treatment home care
Execute efficient clinic and medicine stock management by conducting regular inventory checks and making sure that supplies do not go less than the minimum stock level;
Encourage employees to maintain good personal health by assisting in the conduct of employee orientation and education on health, hygiene and sanitation, nutrition, physical fitness, first aid training, accident prevention and personnel safety;
Ensure that employees who need to be rushed to the Emergency Room are attended to and accompanied in the hospital until the guardians arrive;
Participate and assist in the implementation of the Company's wellness programs.
