JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for attending to the emergency and medical needs of employees; maintains the company clinic, its supplies, equipment, and medical documents; handles all medical and insurance claims.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's/College Degree, Professional License (Passed Board/Bar/Professional License Exam) in Nursing or equivalent.
At least 2 Years (s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
Preferably 1-4 Yrs Experienced Employee specialized in Healthcare - Nurse/Medical Support & Assistant or equivalent.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides emergency and palliative care and treatment to employees, such as first aid treatment, checking vital signs, and dispensing medicines.
Assesses employees' health status, which includes giving recommendations to be sent home or fit to work after sick leave.
Coordinates any work-related injuries/illnesses to Building Administration Department for immediate investigation and corrective actions.
Refers or transports sick/injured employees to the hospital if necessary; waits for the arrival of a family member before leaving the employee.
Updates and maintains medical records of all employees with strict confidentiality.
Ensures availability and conducts a monthly inventory of medicines and medical supplies; prepares purchase requisition of the necessary supplies to ensure availability at all times.
Ensures that the company is up to date with public health and employment safety laws.
Prepares medical notices to be posted on the bulletin boards.
Prepares monthly medical reports.
Implements immunization program to employees.
Schedules Annual Physical Examination (APE), monitors the attendance of employees for APE, assesses and collates APE results, and monitors recommendation and follow through until illness is cleared.
Prepares annual APE result summary.
Visits hospitalized employees, conducts home visits of sick employees and employees who gave birth.
In charge of the purchase of fruit baskets for the employee during hospital or home visits.
Inquires and monitors the condition of a sick employee by preparing a report from the onset of sickness until full recovery.
Provides regular updates on the condition of the sick employee to the following:
Employee's immediate head
Employee's department head
HRD & Administration Manager
In charge of routing solicitation for employees requiring financial assistance due to medical conditions or natural calamities.
Checks and monitors medicine subsidy of employees.
Reviews and monitors eyeglasses subsidy.
Discusses benefits and rates of current health care provider to newly regularized employees who want to enroll their dependents and before annual renewal of health care provider.
Monitors completion of pre-employment requirements of applicants. Makes follow-ups as necessary; performs health counseling on the result of pre-employment medical to the newly hired employees on their first day.
Processes annual enrollment of employees and dependents to the health care provider and life insurance company; ensures that all regular employees are enrolled in the medical and group life insurance.
Orients employees on medical and life insurance claim monitor submission of requirements, and forwards the same to
the corresponding agency. This includes pre-employment medical examination reimbursement, death claims, and other medical claims.
Releases health cards of employees and their dependents; monitors receipt and completion of new health cards.
Attends all company-sponsored sports events and recreational activities.
Maintains the sanitation of the clinic and keeps medicines and equipment organized.
Performs other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
