Summary:
Responsible for developing and implementing Health and Safety Programs, assessing health risks, in addition to the prevention and treatment of resultant illness or injury.
Assesses, reduces, and communicates workplace risks, hazards, and unsafe practices and to safeguard team members.
Responsibilities:
Provide emergency treatment in the workplace
Administer over the counter medication to employees
Promote healthy eating and wellness programs
Meeting company health and safety goals. Investigating the causes of accidents and other unsafe conditions in the workplace.
Manages Occupational Safety and Health (OS&H) audits, non-compliance, investigations, reports, and continuous improvements by determining company hazards, risks, health impacting elements and providing recommendations and action items to correct the findings,
Leads, develops, and implements Occupational Safety and Health guidelines, programs and initiatives.
Submits, oversees and complies to any national, local government and internally required Health and safety reports permits.
Facilitates and conducts training orientations on OS&H whcih may include Business Continuity Planning, Emergency Response and Disaster Risk Reduction to build awareness and employee compliance.
Ensure that records of accidents and/or occupational illness are up-to-date and properly filed.
Updates department budget and expense allocated
Submits other reports and documentations that may be required by the company.
Qualification:
Candidate must possess at least a Professional License (Passed Board/Bar/Professional License Exam) in Nursing or equivalent.
At least 3 years of relevant work experience
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Required Skill: Basic Occupational Safety and Health
Preferably experienced in healthcare
