Job Description: Company Nurse / Hotel Nurse
 
PURPOSE
 
The purpose of the Company/ Hotel Nurse is attending to medical needs of the staff and guests, responsible for maintaining safety and industrial hygiene, disease and accident prevention (both land and water) as well as simple emergency care of employees and guests who are injured or are suddenly taken ill. Assist in the implementation of HR functions such as recruitment, employee services/activities and training & development of employees.
 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 
NURSING TASKS
 
1.Attend to employees and guests and carry out oral and written legal orders of the physician.
2.Provide initial intervention; undertake responsible care and supervision in carrying out nursing procedures to ill staff/guests.
3.Conduct routine inspection to work areas in order to determine/assess health needs/status of employee/guest/company so as to determine hazardous areas including kitchen, recreation centers, engine rooms and make monthly reports and submission of such to DOH and DOLE as required.
4.Handle and monitor the following health-related cases and submit reports of these cases and their findings:
Illness
Accidents
Pregnancy
Death
5.Responsible for the conduct of employee house visit, if needed and for reporting such visit.
6.Responsible for follow-up of employees confined in the hospitals (in coordination with medical insurance representative, if possible.
7.Facilitate and expedite submission of insurance documentation of all regular staff.
8.Responsible for coordination with the following persons and entities:
Hospital covered by insurance
Department of Health
Department of Labor and Employment
Emergency Transport
9.Act as official representative of the Company in any and related business in her/his professional capacity as a Nurse.
10.Assist the HR Department in the preparation and documentation of necessary papers required for all SSS benefits, PAG-IBIG benefits, withholding tax requirement (TIN application only).
11.Perform other tasks as may be assigned by superiors.
 
HR ASSISTANCE
 
1.Source applicants for employment from internet, schools, training firms, and other resources and coordinate/send them job openings.
2.Sort applicants and make a list of qualified applicants or those meeting the minimum employment requirements.
3.Make appointments and follow-up with applicants for schedule of interviews.
4.Keep a systematic file of applicants interviewed and all employment applications delivered, mailed or emailed to HRD.
5.Prepare advertisement text and facilitate posting of media ads.
6.Assist in preparation of handouts, materials, equipment for seminars and learning sessions conducted for employees.
7.Send seminar information, requirements and details of seminars and other related activities through email/fax.
8.Assist in the actual conduct of seminars and learning sessions.
9.Attend the training and learning sessions.
10.Prepare certificates of training.
 
EMPLOYEE SERVICES & ACTIVITIES
1.Update manning list.
2.Update number of leave credits availed and earned by employees.
3.Assist in monitoring records of disciplinary cases/employment record and updating performance evaluation of employees.
4.Assist in organizing socials and program activities of the properties.
5.Keep a systematic file of manning, leave availment/credits and activities of all properties.
 
OTHERS
1.Facilitate requests for interviews by students and other organizations.
2.Answer calls with courtesy and diplomacy at all times.
3.Keep a daily telephone record of all incoming calls made.
4.Attend orientation/immersion on hotel-related activities.
5.Keep a logbook/calendar on daily activities of the hotel.
6.Acquire mastery of history, products and services of the hotel.
7.Keep a systematic file of all HR and Training records.
8.Assist in organizing 201 files of employees.
9.Attend or represent the hotel in job fairs.
10.Perform other duties as directed by superiors.
 
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
With at least one year of experience as hospitality or company nurse.
Passed the Nursing Licensure Exam
Able to work long, flexible hours
Computer literate
With excellent oral and written communication skills
Proactive and dynamic
Physically fit
Travel required: As required
Hours Required: Scheduled days and times may vary based on need.
