Under the overall guidance of the UNDP Resident Representative and direct supervision of Country Office Communications Analyst, the Communications Associate will be tasked to deliver distinct outputs on communications under all the components of the projects under the Peace & Stabilization and Programme Team.The Communications Associate will be directly responsible for successfully completing the below set of tasks within allotted, agreed-upon time frames:Support the implementation of internal and external communication and outreach strategies in Peace and Stabilization Programme Team
Develop, improve and finalize the Unit's social and behavioral change communication plan with a target timeline of deliverables and activities for the target project stakeholders;
Put together a brief brochure summarizing the UNDP Peace & Stabilization Programme work and impact on the ground; Responsible for ensuring that UNDP's (and donors') branding and visibility guidelines are properly adhered to in project implementation.
Develop consistent and impact-driven communications online campaign by creating and managing content, including writing/editing of peace-related impact stories, that can be regularly disseminated through various communication channels (i.e. social media, website and e-mail) of UNDP;
Support country office communication campaign and advocacy initiatives to increase awareness of UNDP's mandate and goals through dissemination of information and organization of public and media events
Translate project materials and data into communicable and relevant pieces of information in the form of infographics, at least four (4) infomercials, and at least three (3) motion graphics, and ensure that project results are profiled and communicated; Document, consolidate, and package key reports into a standard form (basic lay outing for mass production of IEC) on a monthly basis or as necessary in the project duration;
Undertake and prepare the needed communication requirements for project activities/events including preparation of minutes of the meeting, background notes, information materials, media relations, photos/video coverage, speechwriting/talking points, project updates, monitoring reports, invitations, and press releases; Technical supervision of translation/adaptation/rewriting of information received, printing and dissemination of publications and audio-visual materials;
Establish a media directory for regional and national journalists with specialized coverage on topics related to the project; Create and manage an online repository of multimedia materials and communications (raw and processed photos and videos) assets; Implement the communications strategies and ensure extensive multimedia outreach and information campaign to local and national government agencies;
Ensure application of corporate guidelines for any digital content included on country office website, intranet and social media and knowledge sharing
Closely liaise with the CO Communications Unit for clearance of communication materials to ensure allegiance to UNDP branding guidelines;
Support to developing content for the CO website and social media channels and platforms.
Organization and conduct of training and workshops on communications for development as appropriate; and

Secondary education is required. OR
A first-level university degree (Bachelor's degree) in Mass Communications, Broadcast Media, Journalism, Strategic Communications, or relevant fields will be given due consideration but is not a requirement.
Experience:
A minimum of seven (7) years (with a high school diploma) or four (4) years (with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent) of relevant professional experience in development of communication work, coordination of campaigns, producing communications materials, photojournalism or photo-story development, news writing, videography and graphic design is required.
Experience in producing high-value written content such as news articles, reports, and/or social media posts is required
Experience in collaborating with management, inquiries from the public and media, and external relations roles is required
Proficiency in standard software applications Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook etc. is required
Proven experience at the intersection of technology, web design, editorial, digital, social media, and multimedia platforms, preferably within the fields of peacebuilding and conflict prevention is required.
Multimedia experience in photo-story development, videography, and/or graphic design is desirable.
Experience at the sub-national level in providing communication packages to promote the activities of international development organization is desirable.
Previous experience in International Organizations, UN Agencies, and UNDP is an advantage .
Proven experience of working with the key stakeholders of the peace processes in the BARMM is an advantage.
Required Languages
Proficiency in English and Filipino is required.
Knowledge of Bangsamoro dialects (e.g., Maguindanao or Maranao, etc.) is an advantage.
