The Communications Assistant shall be providing the technical assistance and support to the KM Supervisor in the following:
(i) implementation of the Foundation's communications plan and strategy;
(ii) creating and publishing content; and
(iii) overseeing office activities, brainstorming ideas and developing newsletters and other publications.
Success in this role will require you to fulfill the following responsibilities:
1. Drafts and edits media/communication contents and public information materials for the Tugon sa Gutom Program, in coordination with internal program team, and external experts and stakeholders. These include Information, Education and Communication (IEC) materials, such as brochures, info sheets, newsletters, situation reports, maps and infographics, and video clips.
2. Provides technical support in drafting, and editing, media/communication contents and public information materials for Tugon sa Gutom Program.
3. Assists in responding to spontaneous requests related to media and communications.
4. Assists in updating and adapting, as necessary, the existing media and communications tools, in coordination with the internal program team.
5. Supports program monitoring, evaluation, and reporting work of the Tugon sa Gutom Program through development of infographics, visualization of relevant data, and formatting/layout/design of the reports and related materials.
6. Undertakes duty travels as necessary, to support documentation of field activities and collection of audiovisual materials, in coordination with the programme and project teams.
Job Qualifications
Graduate of any four-year course in development communication, mass communication, Multimedia Arts, and related fields from reputable universities.
Must possess good written and verbal communication skills, diligent and can work with minimal supervision. Has strong background in using various photo and video editing software (Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere, etc,); - Computer literate (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
