ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT
The World Food Programme is the world's largest humanitarian agency, fighting hunger worldwide. The position will be based at Manila, Philippine Country Office (CO) The Internship will be for an initial period of 6 months. The intern will be directly reporting to the Communications Officer under the overall guidance of the Head of Communications, Partnerships and Donor Relations Unit.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)
Social Media Management
Support the maintenance of WFP Philippines' social media channels.
Prepare engaging content for use on social media platforms and printed materials to enhance coverage and support of WFP's activities and advocacies, ensuring consistency with corporate messages.
Monitor traditional and social media and report relevant information to senior staff to inform the development and/or evaluation of communication activities and strategies.
Produce a monthly report on social media analytics to monitor content engagement as basis to work and improve on WFP's future content.
Visibility
Provide coordination and specialized services to units in the development of preparation and execution of communication campaigns and materials for target audience.
Support units in the design, development, and creation of all digital and traditional communication materials such as factsheets, flyers, brochures, tarpaulins, infographics, photo cards, and other visibility and printed materials to enhance coverage and support of WFP's activities, ensuring consistency with corporate messaging and standards.
Ensure that visibility requirements are met on the highest standards based on the consistency with corporate messaging.
Others
Distribute communication guidelines for WFP staff to refer when creating content for social media.
STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Currently enrolled and have attended University courses in the last 12 months inclusive of having completed at least two years of undergraduate studies or have recently graduated in the last 6 months'
Proficient in standard graphic design software, including: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Canva
Exceptional writing skills with existing portfolio
Knowledge of other artistic skills (eg., music composition, visual art) that could be used to elevate and compliment visual media
In tune with contemporary aesthetic sensibilities
Comfortable with people and remote interactions

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
WFP is not responsible for living expenses, arrangements for accommodation, necessary visas and related costs.
Depending on the duty station of assignment, WFP will reimburse travel ticket for candidates who are nationals of developing countries and are pursuing their studies in their home country.
WFP will recognize candidates' educational credentials from recognised institutions that have been certified by competent international or national authorities such as the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) or Ministries of Education;
