Commissioning Engineer

Overview / Responsibilities
Roles and Responsibilities:
Responsible for the development of commissioning workpack (E&I) and execution at site for various Asset MoC's, detailed design, planning, cost estimation, jobcarding, project coordination and engineering construction.
Ensure the works complied with project specification, company procedure, method statements, quality assurance and control documents.
Ensure that all construction materials, embedded items, special fixtures are approved for use and that they are stored, protected and available to workface locations as required.
Ensure that work is carried out in accordance with risk assessments, JHA's, SIMOPs and agreed method of statements.
Monitors/Assist to carry out site instrument installation, calibration, troubleshooting, loop checks, commissioning of instruments and control systems.
Skills / Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
5 years' experience in a maintenance, test or service role within the Oil and Gas and/or petrochemical industry - preferably with a system integration company or similar.
Experience and Knowledge of flow metering, instrumentation, PLC, valves, pumps, sampling systems, analysers, Flow Computers, E&I wiring and control panels.
Excellent inter-personal skills, a proactive team player in combination with a strong self-supporting/ independent character.
Commercial awareness, good command of English and good presentation skills.
Reviews the project technical documentation and the contractual requirements.
Defines commissioning work packages and prepare the relevant procedures with the assistance of discipline engineers.
Supervises commissioning field activities.
Prepares the commissioning dossiers.
Ensures safe execution of all commissioning activities through the application of the work permit procedure.
Coordinates activities of vendor representatives and subcontractors
