COMMIS I
Responsibilities:
1. Assist the Chef de Partie in preparing and cooking menu items to meet high quality and presentation standards.
2. Wash, peel, chop, and slice fresh ingredients for various dishes as needed.
3. Follow established recipes for accurate measurements and consistent cooking techniques.
4. Contribute creative ideas for daily specials based on seasonal ingredients and guest feedback.
5. Monitor cooking times and adjust as needed to serve dishes at optimal temperatures.
6. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen during and after service.
7. Set up kitchen stations for events, ensuring all supplies and equipment are available.
8. Use proper food storage and labeling techniques to comply with health regulations.
9. Collaborate with kitchen staff to efficiently execute large volume orders while minimizing waste.
10. Train junior staff and assist with plating dishes to meet restaurant standards.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in a Commis I role
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Good communication skills and a customer-oriented attitude.
