Job Description
Food preparation: Preparing and cooking dishes, including special meals
Kitchen safety: Remove hazards and ensure the kitchen and equipment are safe
Stock management: Controlling food stock and costs, and ordering supplies
Daily procedures: Perform daily and weekly tasks like temperature checks, food labeling, and storage
Basic kitchen tasks: Chop, slice, pound, mash, boil, steam, julienne, stew, sauté, deep-fry, and bake
Equipment maintenance: Ensure cooking equipment is in working order and clean and restock it
Quality control: Ensure food meets quality standards and is presented proper
Work area maintenance: Keep the work area clean, hygienic, and tidy
Qualifications:
A minimum of 2 year(s) of working experience is required.
Candidates must be a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate holder in Hospitality/Tourism Management or similar fields.
Prepare dishes: Put together dishes like sandwiches and salad
Safety: Following safety and sanitation procedures
Additional Information:
Assist chefs: Support the Chef de Partie or Sous-Chef in the daily operations of the kitchen
