Our traineeship program facilitates an knowledge of all aspects of our business in preparation for a function in our Global Trade Commercial team. We are seeking to hire a commercial trainee to be located in Singapore for the majority duration of the trainee program, followed by a permanent trading and merchandising function in our Philippines office. The first 1 - 2 years will be spent in our Singapore office where the trainee will undergo a structured (but flexible) learning plan, while gaining practical practice in the agricultural commodities trading business. The trainee will be provided with support by a mentor from our commercial team. After the trainee has been prepared by acquiring significant practice through spending time in the various departments and on the respective product lines, the trainee program is going to be completed through a placement in the Philippines office. On prosperous completion, the trainee will be offered a permanent function in the Philippines.
Requirements:
» Bachelor or Master degree in Economics/ Business / Commercial/ Finance field with a focus in agriculture and/or international trade
» practice working in a commercial environment - maximum up to two years. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply
» capability to speak Tagalog fluently along with English as the incumbent will be located permanently in the Philippines in the future
» Internationally mobile - willing to accept assignments in different countries on short notice
» Proven interest in trading and/or economics coupled with a drive for success and continuous improvement
» Good communication and presentation skills
» Self-motivated, self-aware and driven
» Results-oriented, analytical and critical thinker
» capability to build strong relationships with customers, suppliers and colleagues
» Creative problem solver and entrepreneurial thinker
