The Commercial Legal Counsel will work from the Amdocs offices in Manila to manage the commercial legal needs of the company in the Philippines, in addition to additional countries in the APAC region. The Commercial Legal Counsel will support the needs of the business in such territories and in the facilitation and management of various commercial legal issues, alongside additional colleagues operating in the region. The Legal Counsel is responsible for the legal partnership and support to either professional domain (such as Procurement, Subsidiaries etc.) or to specific region and combining between business needs and legal requirements.
What will your job look like?
The Commercial Legal Counsel will provide legal advice, draft legal documents, negotiate agreements, participate in decision-making processes and work alongside business partners to promote Amdocs' business.
To collaborate and maintain strong working relationships with other departments within the company, such as the finance, sales, information security, and provide ongoing support to internal customers.
To ensure that all transactions are compliant with applicable company policies and guidelines.
Legal business partner and trusted advisor for a Business Unit and/or company division. Including, participating in division/business unit's management meetings, educating the relevant stakeholders to understand the legal aspects of the BU activities.
Acts as the legal person of the region/domain for all legal aspects and required legal support, including complex negotiations, drafting of legal documents and especially for the complex, strategic and sensitive matters, contracts and all other necessary agreements.
Legal experts and participate external legal counsels, as necessary.
Ensures that all transactions are compliant with applicable company policies and guidelines.
Collaborates and maintains a strong working relationship within the company such as the finance, information security, and individuals in other groups providing support to a company division.
Participates in the development and implementation of practices, strategies and guidelines within the respective domain.
All you need is...
Bachelor degree of Laws (LL.B.). MBA or LL.M (Master of Laws)
Bar membership- advantage.
At least 7 years' experience in commercial law from global high-tech companies or private practice (advising international clients)
Extensive experience in drafting and negotiating various IT agreements, including software licensing agreements, maintenance and support agreements, managed services agreements, reselling agreements
Fluent in English (written and spoken) with outstanding negotiation skills
The ability to tackle a problem by using a logical, systematic, sequential approach and strong attention to detail
Ability to cope with stress and demands that are associated with the job and/or the work environment
Professional experience in the IT or telecommunications field - major advantage
Experience and skill working with internal customer's senior management
Experience of working in complex and dynamic environment, preferably with big and international companies.
Experience in handling business needs in complex environment.
Preferably with Telecomm company background and experience.
