The Area Finance Business Partner is a sparring partner and trusted business advisor to the Product Manager to achieve strategic growth objectives. This person will take an active role in performance management and in driving action plans for improving L&S (Logistics & Services) product performance across area geographic coverage. Based on standard MOS data, he/she will act as a facilitator to analyze and challenge performance, ensure shortfalls in performance and opportunities for high performance are uncovered and that robust benefit tracking is in place. He/She will also work closely with Region FBPs (Finance Business Partners) and colleagues from other Areas thereby ensuring that best practices are shared and applied in order to constantly raise the bar for value adding Finance Business Partnering and ensure decision making is based on robust data and is underpinned by logical assumptions.

Key Responsibilities
Drive monthly forecasting and bi-annual target setting process that is in line with strategic goals based on sound business assumptions.
Provide area performance visibility and in-depth root cause analysis on performance fluctuations to drive sustainable profitability towards targets.
Provide leading indicators of performance on a weekly basis. Initiate discussions to drive proper actions, as the case may be.
Provide analytical support and problem solving for specific products/functions to promote both organic and non-organic business growth which includes business modelling and investment proposal build up.
Responsible for safeguarding Maersk Operating System to ensure relevant and timely discussions that may be impacting P & L.
Share and ensure local adoption of best practises across Areas, Regions and Centre. Serve as focal points for Region and Centre alignment initiatives.
Who we are looking for
Superior academic qualification In Finance or Economics from a reputable university.
Preferably Post Graduate Qualifications such as Masters/PhD or equivalent Professional Qualification such as ACCA/CPA
Strong and progressive work experience in business finance and performance management in the Logistics and Services space; proven track record from business partnering or management consultancy environment will have strong added advantage.
Applied and advance technical skills in Excel, Power BI. Experience in Data management and quantitative methods are a plus
Strong analytical and in sighting skills
Strong capability in managing stakeholders and relationships
