The Bear
Reports to Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing payment reminders, secure loan payments over the phone, and through other communication channels and secure promises to pay. The Collections Associate will be responsible for making and receiving calls to and from clients to understand payment capabilities and provide collections related support.
Evaluate loan applicant credit scores and demographic data to determine loan applicant eligibility accurately.
Work with customers diligently, courteously, and professionally while collecting payments.
Initiate strategies for collection processes and procedures.
Negotiate payment plans and terms with the customer.
Respond to customer inquiries.
Persuade customers diligently to pay past due amounts.
Collaborate with other operations staff regarding the collection of payments.
Work closely with Operations Team Supervisor to develop recovery strategies for delinquent accounts and determine when further actions are necessary.
Develop alternative payment plans and advise customers on alternative payment options.
Create repayment schedules based on customers' financial situations.
Retain customer loyalty while initiating processes for the collection of payments.
Maintain and update records of customers from whom collections are made.
Ensure fair treatment of the customer under all circumstances.
Strictly adhere to company policy and regulatory requirements.
The Qualifications
Minimum College Graduate.
High level of attention to detail and excellent record keeping to ensure payment plans are recorded, and communication with the customer is documented.
High level of customer service, persuasion, and negotiation skills, as well as a mind for problem-solving to work with customers to resolve their debts and collect payment issues.
Excellent work ethics and a high level of professionalism.
Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
At least 1-year working experience or any relevant experience in loan collections.
Computer proficiency, including MS office.
