The CMDB technical lead is the technical resource defining and owning the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) platform.
Their key purpose is to ensure that the CMDB is a dynamic single source of truth of accurate, accessible, and reliable information that:
enables technology and business services.
promotes proactive end-to-end management of services.
They are an experienced and strong technical leader who:
can be counted on as the expert in configuration management.
can maintain the CMDB application.
is very involved in the population and health of the CMDB.
Requirements
Appropriate tertiary qualifications.
ITILv4 Foundations.
ServiceNow System Administrator.
ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist - ITSM, Discover, service Mapping.
CCNA or equivalent.
MCSA, RHCSA, OCP (Microsoft, RedHat, Oracle.
Work Experience
At least 5 years I.T. experience - ideally Retail Industry exposure.
Experience relevant to the IT systems being supported.
Experience working cross functionally.

Security and redundancy
Large scale, complex, and distributed business environments
Windows desktop and server technologies including Desktop Applications

SOE Design, development, and deployment

Microsoft Exchange, LANDESK (or equivalent), Active Directory
Skills and knowledge relevant to the IT systems being supported
