A financial organisation that offers digital banking services is recruiting for a Cloud Security Architect job to be part of the pioneer team. The Cloud Security Architect will be responsible for day-to-day cloud security architecture functions and in ensuring the delivery of security architecture services, demonstrating a specialisation in cloud security across life cycle strategy, design, implementation and operations.
About the Cloud Security Architect Role:
This is a new hands-on role reporting into the Chief Information Security Officer. The role will participate, lead and jointly deliver security on cloud providers (AWS, Azure), cloud native platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.), and Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions
Key Responsibilities:
Design and oversee the implement security architectures and requirements for cloud-based solutions by aligned to standards such as ISO 27000 series, NIST CSF, and CSA
Design and oversee the implementation of a zero trust framework
Provide domain expertise in both public and private cloud and enterprise security and technology
Identify and deliver appropriate controls based on industry standards (e.g. Zero Trust, CCM) to drive cloud security framework based on business risk and cloud native threats
Continually evaluate new threats in the cloud, to identify the impact to develop and implement security controls
To succeed in this Cloud Security Architect role, you must have the expertise in performing threat modelling, and generating security architectural requirements to software development and product teams.
Key Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, related field; or equivalent combination of education/professional experience in a similar role
At least five years of experience in fintech/digital bank/financial institutions/banking
At least five years of experience in cloud security architecture focused roles on delivering security on cloud native in complex environments
At least three years of experience in defining security standards and reference architectures used to guide technical resources in secure system implementation and configuration for enterprise cloud systems and consumption of cloud
Amazon - AWS design and implementation experience in compute, network and storage as well as the cloud control plane
Experience with structured Enterprise Architecture practices, public/hybrid cloud deployments, etc.
One or more technical security certifications is a plus: CCSP - Certified Cloud Security Professional, CISSP - Certified Information Systems Security Professional, CSSLP - Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional, CISM - Certified Information Security Manager, CSEC - SANS CIAC Security Essentials, TOGAF, SABSA or similar architectural framework certification
