Job Description The Cloud Reliability\Release Engineer provides support to the US Divisional Advisory and Enablement (DABE) AKS Operations Support team. The Cloud Reliability Engineer will be primarily responsible for the supporting deployments through the CICD build & deployment of applications to multiple the JH Azure Kubernetes Services environment. The role provides release operations and DevOps support for application code releases including, pipeline automation support, troubleshooting, basic scripting, and assisting with proof of concepts. Additionally, as a part of the new AKS Platform Support Team, you will also assist in the delivery of outstanding and reliable operational services by helping with the fulfillment of AKS Operations service requests like creating namespaces, roles, role bindings, and environmental monitoring trough New Relic and other tools. Responsibilities: Familiarity with a container orchestration solution (Docker, Kubernetes, etc). Hands on experience working with the Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines. Familiarity with cloud engineering concepts and networking Solid understanding of standards and best practices for the CI/CD framework Engage with information Security, BUSO and DevOps Engineering team to support and standardize security tools and controls. Support and\or enforce quality controls and gates to the build, test, and deploy process to production. Provide guidance, coaching, training on build, test, and release management best practices to customers and peers Collaborate on and provide input into the CICD roadmap, identify gaps and dependencies. Create and maintain AKS components (Clusters, Nodes, Pods, Namespaces, etc). Perform other duties as assigned Strong verbal and written communication skills. Qualifications: Candidate must have at least 2 years tenure asRelease Engineeror any Platform related role. Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field or equivalent work experience is required. Prior experience with Microsoft Azure or similar Cloud native offerings Experience in creating continuous integration and delivery pipelines leveraging cloud native architectures on Microsoft Azure Cloud Experience with agile delivery, SAFe, and DevOps frameworks Experience with Azure DevOps Tools for plan, build, test, release and monitor Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, PowerShell scripting, GIT, Linux, Shell, Azure Resource Management Working knowledge of Command Line tools (like Powershell CLI) Candidate must pass or exceed the current role s expectations and meet ALL performance metrics Must not have any attendance issues and has not received any disciplinary actions Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to converse effectively using English language Must pass current job expectations and meet performance metrics. Knowledge Some working knowledge or experience with the following tools.
