About you
The ideal candidate will be a #DevOps enthusiast that lives and breathes technology. You will act as a change agent who assess current maturity and then define technical direction and drive the adoption of Continuous Delivery patterns across the organisation. You will be an effective communicator who can evangelize the benefits of Continuous Delivery and mentor teams, as well as translate the impacts and benefits to the key stakeholders.
What You'll Do
Work with development teams to automate their build, test, packaging and deployment procedures to provide a pipeline deployment capability into production.
Create Continuous Integration build and deployment plans
Collaborate with development teams to provide improved delivery tools and support their activities
Co-ordinate with development teams and environment team to provision required environments.
Support existing development and deployment tools and build new ones where required.
Troubleshoot deployment issues and infrastructure issues that impact development teams' delivery capabilities.
What You Have
At least 5 years of experience in DevOps Engineering
Extensive knowledge of DevOps principles, methodologies and popular toolsets
Demonstrated experience in driving DevOps culture and solutions throughout the software development lifecycle
Experience working in an agile software delivery team or agile operations team
Prior experience Build Engineering, Automated Deployments & Testing, Infrastructure, Environment Management and Configuration, and Release Management
Solid knowledge of development languages or scripting languages
Wide industry knowledge of DevOps tools and practices, from both a software development and infrastructure / operations point of view
Demonstrated strong problem solving and critical thinking
Ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks
Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
Experience presenting or talking to groups of varied sizes and skill level
Enthusiasm, commitment and self-direction
Preference skills:
Configuration Management tools (Ansible preferred, Puppet, Chef)
Infrastructure automation (Terraform, Cloudformation, vSphere APIs)
Exposure to either python or ruby Experience with AWS
Familiar with Infrastructure as code movement
Experience with designing scalable processes and infrastructure
Experience with migration of workloads to AWS
Technical Requirements
Solid grasp of Amazon Web Services
EC2 / RDS / S3, Security Groups,VPC, Subnetting,Route53
Terraform or Cloudformation, AutoScaling
Windows 2008/12 Administration/Linux (Ubuntu, RHEL, AWS Linux)
Basic database administration (MySQL/MS SQL)
Automation toolsets
Good Scripting Skills (Python or NodeJS)
AWS Certifications
