The Cloud Automation Engineer will be assisting with the design and build of automation scripts, routines, and PowerShell within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem. We seek a highly professional individual with advanced understanding of scripting languages and Microsoft systems administration, operational understanding of cloud and hybrid workloads, Microsoft Azure VM, Azure Sentinel, Azure Log Analytics, and orchestration technologies.
Job Responsibilities:
Intakes functional specifications for scripts, automation routines, scheduled commands, and templates; Outputs tested and documented Powershell solutions.
Develops, analyzes, and maintains tools that support and automate processes for Microsoft Azure cloud.
Writes and tests installation scripts and programs for installation of third-party MSI and EXE products.
Works with project teams to determine an appropriate build schedule and then initiates the scripting, build and packaging process for Microsoft Azure environments.
Assists in build and maintenance of script repository, Azure cloud environments, and monitoring routines.
Monitors, records, and controls changes to maintain integrity related to source, macros, and PowerShell libraries.
Works with others to complete analysis, evaluations, and design alternatives and to implement process improvements.
Compiles and assembles automation scripts and PowerShell commands to meet functional requirements for Azure Sentinel.
Collates metrics and report status.
May perform other job duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications:
Experience with Microsoft Windows source repositories
Expert knowledge and experience with PowerShell Scripting
Minimum 3 years of experience in configuring and maintaining code deployments of cloud related Microsoft environments
Experience using SQL Server, software, and using Structured Query Language
Windows Server maintenance and patching knowledge
Experience with Active Directory Management and Azure Active Directory
Able to work with teams of engineers in various stages of the software development lifecycle
Able to meet aggressive deadlines and handle multiple and complex projects
Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle, software quality and security solutions
