Organization
Overview
Perform special projects or tasks in a timely manner, as assigned by Team leader or Management. The role requires a strong knowledge of Active Directory 2012r2, DNS, and certificate management along with an understanding of Cloud Technologies and Services, Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban), and IT Operations based on ITIL Framework. The role's primary focus is to provide build and operations expertise with a high focus on automation in areas such as security remediation, performance, monitoring, logging, backups/HA/DR, compliance, and ensuring the operations processes and standards are maintained in production.
Responsibilities
. Certificate management and orchestration leveraging Keyfactor
. Managing Microsoft Active Directory 2012r2, LDAP, DNS, GPO's, PKI
. Support automation solutions for source, deploy, pipeline, configuration management
. Work with tier 1 support team to transition and operate active directory workloads with a being cloud centric focus
. Continually review and recommend improvements to operational processes and procedures
. Look for opportunities to automate anything and everything
. Ensure Monitoring and Alerting Standards are tested in transition and followed in production
. Ensure migrated workloads maintain compliance with Security and Governance standards
. Ensures the health of the service meets defined service level expectations
. Participate in incident management and communications, including follow-up with problem resolution post-mortem, and process improvement
. Participate in teams on-call schedule
. Gathers technical requirements and translates requirements into hardware and software capabilities
. Strong understanding of network architecture and security
. Provides gap analyses, from a technical perspective, highlighting current state, future state, client needs, best practices and competition
. Establishes credibility at all levels with clients and builds problem-solving partnerships with clients and colleagues
. Provides leadership and work guidance to less experienced personnel
. Communicates in formal presentation settings including proposal orals, client workshops, and regional internal events develops proposal sections, methodology work products and formal written deliverables covering area(s) of expertise
Skillset
. Expertise in SSL certificate management with a focus on certificate orchestration
. Expertise in Microsoft Core Infrastructure Windows Server 2000/2003/2008r2/2012r2/2016, Active Directory, LDAP, Privileged Identity Management, DNS, Group Policy, PKI, Encryption, Disaster Recovery, DMZ and PowerShell
. Scripting technologies (Ex. PowerShell, Bash, Python, etc.)
. Active Directory 2012, 2016
. Experience with Microsoft Active Directory Azure integrations
. Experience as a senior systems administrator or systems engineer with demonstrated design, implementation and troubleshooting skills
. Experience migrating servers, applications, users, and computers across domains
. Microsoft DNS
. Systems administration expertise (Windows, Linux)
. Enterprise Monitoring Tools for infrastructure and applications
. ITIL Foundations and Intermediate Level Transition, Operations, and Continuous Improvement
. Enterprise ITSM and CMDB Tools

What Software Engineering contributes to Cardinal Health
Software Engineering is responsible for designing, developing, implementing and supporting applications, systems and IT products required to achieve the company's business objectives.
Demonstrates knowledge of software development techniques and fluency in software languages and application programming interfaces.
Demonstrates general understanding of hardware/software platforms including but not limited to operating systems, databases, application servers, web servers and integration technologies.
Plans and executes system implementations that ensure success and minimize risk of system outages or other negative production impacts.
Demonstrates conceptual knowledge of architecture standards and database and operating systems.
Demonstrates problem solving ability that allows for effective and timely resolution of system issues including but not limited to production outages.
Analyzes production system operations using tools such as monitoring, capacity analysis and outage root cause analysis to identify and drive change that ensures continuous improvement in system stability and performance.
Demonstrates knowledge of software development, life cycle, modeling of business processes, application design patterns, business/functional documents. Estimates to high level business requirements and provide options analysis.
Qualifications
. 3 Years of experience with Scripting technologies (PowerShell, Bash, Python, etc.)
. 3 Years of experience with certificate management experience (Keyfactor preferred)
. 3 Years of experience with server and directory service technologies (Windows, Linux, AD, DNS)
. Professional Certifications - One or more advanced professional certifications related to (MCSE, MCITP Enterprise Admin, etc.) is a plus
. 1 Year of experience with GCP or AWS, certification desired
. 3 Years of experience with Enterprise ITIL Processes
. 3 Years of experience with enterprise ITSM or ticketing system
. 3 Years of experience with monitoring enterprise systemsdesired
. 3 Years of experience in data center domains (server, network, storage, security)
. Excellent organizational skills, and oral and written communication skills
. Security compliance experience such as ITIL, PCI, ISO 27001 or SOX
. Ability to work with minimal supervision, making decisions based upon priorities, schedules and an understanding of business initiatives
. Ability to apply critical thinking to all aspects of the position
. Detail oriented with excellent documentation skills/methodologies, who can successfully manage multiple priorities
