A Medical Research Institution which conducts collaborative studies on infectious diseases and serves as an international resource center for diagnostic testing and training is in urgent need of the following:
One (1) CLINICAL RESEARCH COORDINATOR / OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH NURSE
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
Performs procedures in compliance with the study protocol, study manuals, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Study Specific Procedures (SSPs) and other regulatory requirements
Performs study related procedures such as recruitment of research volunteers, taking vital signs, providing instructions to volunteers, conducts follow-up calls and home visits, encodes volunteer data in the database,
Performs preparation and administration of study vaccine (vaccinator only)
Completes and maintains study documents
Provide support and efficiency in the performance of functions related to the clinical trial
Also function as Occupational Health Nurse
Qualifications:
Must be a Registered Nurse
Must have an interest in the field of research (Experience in research is an advantage)
Must be trainable and willing to be trained
Must be willing to work with children
Must be willing to do field work
Can work with minimal supervision; organized and meticulous
Must have knowledge of immunization procedures and proficient in administering parenteral medications/ vaccines (vaccinator only)
Must be highly proficient in English (Proficiency in Cebuano dialect is a plus)
Absolute integrity in handling confidential research data
Knowledgeable in basic computer applications (MS Excel, MS Word and MS PowerPoint)
Knowledge in Basic Life Support (BLS) and/or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
