Responsibilities
The initial tasks to be carried out by the Claims Operations Analyst are shown below but the intention is that new tasks will be added.
Claims Bordereaux Reconciliation
Receipt of bordereaux via email to shared mailbox
Conducting checks for data quality and to ensure that we have the bordereaux for each year of account and binder section.
Creating a list of claims over the financial authority limit
Checking this list with the claims handler in London to ensure that they are aware of these claims
Checking the information on the claims bordereaux against any banking information
Adding details to our bordereaux tracking spreadsheet, fees spreadsheet and float spreadsheet.
All files to be stored in the Arch document repository against each relevant section ready for processing into our bordereaux MI system.
Maintaining good relationships with the UK Bordereaux Management Operations team.
Management Information Production and Distribution
Using step by step guides to produce reports.
The analyst will be expected to use their expertise to streamline any processes in Excel by using macros or Visual Basic.
The reports should then be distributed by email to the specified members of the Arch claims team.
Document Repository Filing
Checking shared mailboxes on a periodic basis
Saving document to the correct claim file used the prescribed naming convention
Managing queries with the Arch claims team
Qualifications
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
Attention to detail, ability to learn new tasks quickly, good with numbers, ability to work independently and as part of team, good problem solving skills.
Nice to have: insurance knowledge/background or accountancy/book keeping
