The role
Cardno now Stantec is currently seeking a Civil Designer - Water Infrastructure to join our Civil Engineering team in Manila. Cardno has also embraced 'Work Your Way', which enables flexible working tailored to your individual circumstance through an environment of empowerment and trust
Your responsibilities will include:
Working on stormwater, sewerage, road works and civil infrastructures (Water)
Strong understanding of design processes, analysing industry codes, by-laws and site requirements
Prepares conceptual and formal design drawings utilizing AutoCAD, Civil 3D, 12D and/or Revit software in accordance with statutory requirements and standards (AU)
Operates computer-aided drafting (CAD) equipment or conventional drafting station to produce detailed designs, working drawings, charts, forms and records
Supervises, coordinates and inspects the work of drafters, technicians and technologists on construction projects
Ensures Quality Assurance
Checks data using different file type such as ASCII, DXF, PTS and others
Checks data is correct and in respective layers, code numbers and datums
Creates DTMs for preparation of design
Extracting cut and fill volumes of earthworks
Guides and mentors junior staff members
About you
Ideally you will possess -
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field of study.
At least 5 years' experience within the Civil Engineering field
Experienced in hydraulic calculations and software
Strong experience in 12D, Civil 3D, AutoCAD or Revit
Previous experience in the construction and consulting industry
Able to apply engineering knowledge in planning and conducting projects having scope for independent accomplishment and coordination of difficult and responsible assignments
Ability to devise new approached and/or apply existing criterion in new ways and draw conclusions from comparative situations
Ability to meet tight deadlines in a high paced environment, excellent organization, multi-tasking and time management skills with the ability to prioritize according to importance and urgency
Works as part of a team as well as works autonomously
