CIB - Trade lifecycle III - Vice President
APAC Securities Settlements is responsible for supporting settlements of equities and fixed income trades and corporate action controls for JPM Asia Legal Entities and JPMorgan Affiliates in Asian markets. The team's primary function is to ensure providing accurate settlement related information to the Middle Offices and Client Service Teams and to ensure timely settlement of trades in the market.
The also team assists our client group to optimize efficiency, mitigate risk and enhance service. If you are driven and have strong knowledge trade lifecycle, securities operations with a combination of LEAN and other process improvement methodologies, this could be a role for you.
In a fast pace environment, the Trade lifecycle Vice President will play a key role in assimilating information, analyzing complex and varied data, and articulating the challenges, solution vision and specific next steps. The incumbent will manage the region's Settlements team focusing on controls, regulatory, clients service, change management, and reengineering
Description
Develop and execute business plan for APAC settlement team including relocation strategy and system implementation
Ensure all operating controls are effectively managed and enhanced with the changing landscape of a global operating model
Management oversight for Global risk functions supporting the APAC settlement team located in Manila corporate centre.
Lead continuous improvement efforts related to KPIs, service performance, and operating controls
Ensure team accurately meets all market deadlines and client SLA
Coach, mentor, and lead staff ensuring all standard operating procedures and controls are followed and department deadlines are met
Engage LEAN and other process improvement methods to reengineer functions with the goal of enhancing service and reducing operating spend
Lead in appraisals and performance management
Participate in global and local projects including new business, system enhancements and market rule changes.
Qualifications
Graduate or Post Graduate having 8 years of experience in Banking and Financial Services/ Treasury environment/settlements / asset servicing preferably in APAC markets
Minimal 5 years' experience of people management
Successful performance in a risk based environment with a proven track record of risk reduction.
Demonstrated understanding of global markets, legislative framework, and industry trends
Ability to influence across business lines, cultures and various functions globally
Results based experience demonstrating strategic and analytical thinking.
Track record of working in a changing environment with the experience of learning, documenting and implementing new processes efficiently.
Proven ability to improve processes and reduce cost by optimizing operational capabilities.
Display high levels of integrity; operate on the basis of open and honest interaction.
Enthusiastic, highly motivated and effective under tight timeframes and pressure.
Demonstrate experience of multi-tasking and effective time management with attention to detail in a fast paced environment.
Experience of effective communication both oral and written to management, clients and colleagues
