Job Description:
The Middle Office Services hub provides full operational support to our clients' transaction processing needs by ensuring all aspects of the trade lifecycle are managed end to end efficiently, within market timeframes and accurately in a controlled environment to minimise risk.
Key responsibilities:
Day to day management of all aspects of Middle Office Functions
Routing Client instruction (redirecting Client's secure messages to the relevant MOS parties based on a pre-defined set of rules)
Trade confirmations, settlements and fails management across product classes (FX, MM, EQ, FI, OTC, ETD)
Investment Accounting entries based on templates received from internal and external clients
Support controls and break escalations / remediation
Review and clearance of daily overdraft items
High level service delivery to other MOS teams to ensure accuracy of records in the Investment Accounting systems
Management and development of operational team of 12+ FTEs
Provide leadership in terms of developing and retaining the talent pool
Ensure correct resourcing levels to meet BAU and any changes impacting the operations
Active Management of staff performance and continuous identification of key talents fit for Middle Office functions
Delegate project actions to Team members and encourage ownership of project tasks until implementation
Support the Change Management agenda
Assist and support MOS global team in any Client, Internal or Technology change
Convey a pro-active attitude towards change amongst the Team
Manage any resiliency tests and follow-ups with Mumbai and UK
Responsible for daily control and risk management within the operation
Enhance the quality and risk culture by ensuring proper management of daily production control and risk management tools
Work with OCM and Risk and Compliance globally to support the wider Risk and Control governance environment, provide Operational input and support for Audits, SAS70's and other regulatory inspections
Remediation of breaches and errors, and management of EF&L events within agreed targets
Service Delivery Management
Coordination across multiple sites: primarily Mumbai and UK. Some interaction with Bangalore may be required
Implement the Utility strategy as and when required
Provide leadership and senior point of contact for MOS UK and stakeholders, and escalations impacting services to MOS UK Clients
Delivery and monitoring of effective MIS tools and reporting to enable best practice production management
Support ongoing resiliency strategy and testing
Candidate Qualifications & Profile
Core Abilities
Excellent prior custody & fund services, markets or prime brokerage operational experience along with managing staff
Ability to work closely with business partners and interact with all staff levels
Ability to be flexible, follow tight deadlines, organize and prioritize work
Experience of working on large scale, multi-stream programs
Strategic thinking coupled with practical execution
Strong analytical and problem solving skills including taking the initiative to drive change and enhance controls
Ability to manage through a changing business landscape
Candidate must have a control focused agenda, and a thorough understanding of program/project risk
Anticipate issues and aggressively drive initiatives to ensure results
Self-starter and ability to learn quickly
People and Communication
Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills including the ability to communicate strategic messages clearly and consistently with the team, making linkages to individual goals and accomplishments

Education and Certifications
Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent
