Role & Responsibilities:
The role focuses specifically on Fund Services & business analysis needs for Global Bank Loans Administration strategic initiatives. Fund Services business is driving an aggressive agenda to enhance client experience. This requires assimilating the large number of ideas generated at all levels (primarily by Middle Office, Product development) into a structured framework. The right amount of rigor in documenting / governing initiatives is important to enable targeted decision making.
Understanding the fundamental concepts related to Bank Loans.
Proven ability to independently identify issues, analyze problems and provide viable solutions
Ability to grasp/learn new products/processes which are currently in scope.
Proactive approach with logical & analytical skills
Aptitude to work with numbers and deadlines
Excellent comprehension and observation skills
Ability to review and analyze information from multiple sources and determine relevancy
Independent and self-motivated with an ability to adapt and be flexible in a team environment
Strong client focus and ability to partner with various internal/external groups
Demonstrate creative problem solving and solid judgment/decision making ability
Knowledge of the Bank Loans product and process flow will be an added advantage
Requirements and Qualifications:
We are looking for candidates with the following characteristics:
Ability to ensure deliverables are met/sign offs are completed on time and accurately
Perform and review day to day operations of the Bank Loans team which includes trade capture, settlements, asset substantiation, cash and position reconciliations
Ensure appropriate break investigation and resolution
Conduct regular group meetings with the managers to ensure constant communication and incorporate feedback
Ability to follow procedures and established processes to perform varied routine and non-routine tasks
Responsible for ensuring a standardized and efficient process
Active involvement and partnership with the Global Bank Loans team to ensure seamless rollouts of any enhancements
Working with various upstream/downstream internal teams and external teams such as Corporate Actions, Custody, and Client facing teams including Agent Banks etc.
Respond to and resolve all client inquiries on a timely manner
Establish and maintain relationships with various operations teams
Work as part of the global team performing follow the sun model by ensuring hand offs are appropriately provided for a smooth global coverage
Partner with client service teams to help change client behavior where required to remove manual processes.
Strong understanding of Risk Management and should be able to manage issues and exceptions which are material in nature
Partner with technology strategy team to help identify internal and external facing technology improvement opportunities
Ensure all day to day queries are dealt with and escalate issues to the Associates appropriately
Provide operations subject matter expertise and value added services to clients where required
Strong time management skills required to meet the internal and external deadlines/cutoffs
Active participation and involvement in all governance meetings to identify and track reasons for deviation from agreed levels or expected behavior (if any). Ensure follow ups and escalate for all ageing items.
Ensure all Standard Operating procedures are up to date and adhered to
Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred
4+ years of relevant Investment Banking experience
Skills:
Strong experience of working on large scale, multi-stream programs with proven track record in streamlining operational process to reduce operating costs and/or increase processing capacity
Candidate must have a control focused agenda, and a thorough understanding of program/project risk
Ability to work closely with business partners and interact with all staff levels
Good computer skills including Microsoft office products (Excel, Word, Power point)
Desire to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple deliverables
Proven skills in time management, organization, and attention to detail
People and Communication:
Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills including the ability to communicate strategic messages clearly and consistently with the team, making linkages to individual goals and accomplishments
Strong relationship management and partnership with a large array of constituents
Ability to manage by influence to promote change leadership with proven ability
Proactive in identifying and escalating issues
Ability to partner in a virtual team environment across multiple locations
