Job Description:
Key responsibilities:
Business Results
· Performs the following transactions for Hedge funds, Mutual funds, and Private equities in accordance with the established work practices and procedures of Custody Middle Office:
o Manual trade capture of subscriptions, redemptions, transfers, etc.
o Complete investment documents or trade packs.
o Contact order handling agents for acknowledgement of trades placed in the market.
o Monitor and chase underlying transfer agents for cash settlements.
o Handle or process contract notes and capital account statements.
· Investigate and resolve queries and issues internally; demonstrate the ability to resolve queries quickly and accurately.
· Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures as required.
Teamwork and Leadership
· Supervise and validate daily task allocation of the team.
· Identify and action priority items within appropriate timeframes; escalate issues as necessary; relentlessly resolve aged items.
· Partner with the business owners to ensure the completion of all end-to-end processes in line with JPMorgan Risk Management policies.
· Collaborate with stakeholders and various team to help drive the global and strategic agenda.
· Conduct coaching sessions with team members and assist in their development and career growth.
· Support the process manager in other administrative tasks as needed.
Client Focus
· Understand the end-to-end process of the Fund of Funds Custody to determine downstream and upstream impacts of the team's deliverables, while improving client experience.
· Enhance manual processing or reporting using various automation tools.
Risk & Controls
· Maintain the highest individual and team standards for quality assurance as it relates to all investor or fund activity or changes; ensure team is 'Always Audit Ready'.
· Follow JPMorgan's established processes and procedures. Look to modify or iterate processes and procedures to continually improve accuracy, reduce redundancy, and mitigate risk. Perform risk and control assessment.
· Deliver daily, weekly, and monthly Key Performance Index (KPI) metrics reports to management and stakeholders. Lead governance meetings with stakeholders.
· Perform EOD process to ensure all deliverables were met timely and accurately.
This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
· Knowledge of General and Alternative investments, Fund Accounting, and Account Reconciliation.
· Knowledge of the Securities industry, including dividends, profit and loss, corporate actions, and capital activity.
· Project management and / or supervisory experiences are preferred.
· Strong analytical, prioritization, organizational, multi-tasking, and communication skills.
