Functional Dept. Description:
Securities Processing - Income and Corporate Actions Accounting Team within the Investor Services is responsible for the accurate research, preparation and data entry for all International and Domestic corporate actions and Income in Accounting system called WINS. They need to ensure the correct accounting & pricing treatment is taken in WINS and the valuations before and after the corporate action and income fall, within predetermined variances and all files and entries are reviewed daily to ensure a high level of accuracy is kept. Other responsibilities include responding to client or accountants queries via phone or email especially during production days of BD 1-10.
The Income and Corporate Actions Specialist is responsible for the review & processing of all Income and Corporate Actions breaks backed by Reconciliation tool IRECS. These include but not limited to stock, MBS, dividend, interest, stock dividends, bonus issues, rights issues, consolidations, mergers, takeovers, ROC, tender offers etc. The role requires a team player to ensure that all of the work that needs to be processed for the day is completed in line with specific client deadlines.
The Income and Corporate Actions Specialist works closely with other Departments to clear any queries that may arise relating to Income and Corporate Actions processing.
Key Responsibilities would include:-
Responsible for the reviewing of daily reports relating to Income and Corporate Actions within SLA Client Deliverables.
Responsible for the researching and processing in WINS within SLA Client Deliverables.
Pro-actively investigate & clear all asset & cash differences resulting from Income and Corporate Actions processing on daily basis.
Assist in resolution of queries with internal departments.
Liaise with Custody & clients services to ensure swift resolution of any outstanding Income and Corporate Actions issues.
Ensure that customer service levels provided to client meet SLA requirements.
Responsible for the escalation of issues of material importance as soon as they are identified.
Provide assistance to other staff within the team with the completion of their work when needed.
Seek ways to improve and streamline procedures.
Assist with projects
Adherence to "PRINCIPLES OF MAINTAINING A STRONG PROCESS CONTROL ENVIRONMENT"
Prepare reports and other MIS
Qualifications/Skills
International or Domestic corporate action experience, preferably from a custody or funds management background
Data Entry Skills
Computer literacy - advanced Excel and Microsoft Word
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of Financial Markets would be an advantage but are not essential
