*This is a temporary position required from February 2024 to March 2024.
If you are someone who loves to spend time with children and are passionate about sharing the love of Christ, Tebow CURE Hospital of the Philippines is looking for you to serve as a Children's Mentor.
The Children's Mentor must capitalize on the short time available with our patients during their stay at the Hospital. The children's mentor should find ways to play, teach, entertain, tell stories, use games and music, and a variety of other ways to interact with each patient both in the playroom and in the ward.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPOSIBILITIES: * Evangelize and disciple children in the ward
Encourage and counsel the children in a biblically-based manner, as per their needs.
Organize and conduct games, video showing, art therapy sessions, and other ministry-related activities for the children.
Facilitate access by patients and families to relevant faith-based literature, books, and bibles
Conduct spiritual follow-ups of new believers realized from any corner of the hospital.
Conduct a once-a-month visit to designated rest houses (partners of the hospital) where our patients are housed and minister to them with Bible-based activities.
Encode the Ward Evaluation Data of the patients for DOH and Safe Care use.
Maintain all equipment and apparatus in the playroom including cleaning all toys and books in the playroom or in a mobile cart as per the quality and infection control guideline
Write children's stories based on given guidelines and children's names on their beds for identification.
Together with the Assistant Spiritual Director, coordinate activity programs.
Perform other tasks upon request by the Spiritual Director.
Provide pastoral care in Co-workers' devotions, chapel and outpatient clinic.
Promote peace and love among other Co-workers within the hospital.
As an integral member of the Spiritual team, participate in scheduled ward ministry, mobile clinics, and or community engagement; Work with the spiritual ministry department to achieve the set goals and objectives; and participate in any other duty assigned by the Spiritual Director.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: * Minimum Education Required: Holds a Certificate/Diploma in theological/ Biblical training preferred but not required
Minimum Experience Required: Enough experience as a children's mentor with the ability to handle children in matters related to psychology, counseling, evangelism, discipleship, and biblical teaching
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: * A born-again and Mature Christian
Good Christian character that portrays a good relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ
A Call to Christian Ministry and Service
Flexibility to serve and be honest in any duty according to the directives of the spiritual ministry department
Good communication skills and Customer care attitude
Ability to work with people of diverse cultures, different faiths, or at different places
Can speak /write English and local languages fluently
