Responsibilities and Duties
• Sets objectives and initiatives for the technological advancement of the company as related to the set short term and long-term strategy
• Monitors changes, innovation, advancements and latest technology trends in the market that can be considered for implementation in the company.
• Implements, manages and ensures reliability of technological platforms in support of e-commerce, digital marketing, mobile applications, online selling and similar business requirements.
• Selects and implements suitable technology to streamline all internal operations and help optimize their strategic benefits
• Designs and customizes company-wide and global technological systems and platforms to improve overall customer experience
• Plans the implementation of new systems and provide guidance to IT provider/partner and other stakeholders within the organization
• Reviews and approves purchases of technological equipment/software and establish partnerships with IT providers/vendors. Acts as the Vendor Manager with all outsourced IT operations/services and developments.
• Manages tie-ups with IT vendors/service providers to ensure delivery of quality output as per set Service Level Agreement (SLA) and Statement of Work (SOW)
• Oversees the technological infrastructure (networks and computer systems) in the organization to ensure optimal performance, reliability (i.e., limited to no downtime experience) and high level of security (i.e., zero cases of security breach)
• Directs, organizes and oversees technology and digital transformation-related projects to ensure on time and on budget delivery
• Supervises and monitors the company's network and computer systems for scalability and high performance.
• Supports the different departments on required dashboard reporting and data analytics through reliable and efficient management information system.
• Established standards for the company's IT equipment and systems purchased and deployed to employees
• Ensures all communications & collaboration tools, CCTV infrastructure, and other related technologies are in working order and at set standards.
Qualifications
• Education level - Graduate of any IT related course. With Master's degree related to Information Technology or Business, an advantage
• Experience - Proven experience as CIO for a minimum of 3 years or similar role
• Specific skills - Excellent knowledge and understanding of modern databases, network and information system technologies; In-depth knowledge of data administration and management processes; Background in designing/developing corporate systems and planning technology and digital transformation implementation
• Personal characteristics - A highly-analytical mind-set with superior problem-solving skills; Outstanding communication and presentation skills; Excellent organization, leadership and people management skills; Strong strategic and business mindset; Solid understanding of data analysis, budgeting and business operations.
