Are you a seasoned leader in finance looking for the next challenge to leverage your expertise in a dynamic market? Macquarie is looking to hire an experienced Chief Financial Officer for one of its investee companies in Asia. This telecommunications infrastructure business has a large existing operational asset base and a smaller but important and growing asset development and construction pipeline.
Based in Manila and reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial strategy and management of the business to ensure accomplishment of the board-approved business plan. The role will also include leading the review and assessment of any future organic or M&A growth opportunities for the company, overseeing statutory financial accounting, management / project accounting, treasury, taxation, and payroll.
You will ensure that high levels of compliance standards and controls are maintained at all times, as well as high quality management reporting processes are in place. You will also work closely together with outside service providers and our development partners to ensure that statutory accounting and reporting requirements are satisfied.
Main responsibilities:
You will be accountable for the statutory and management accounting, taxation, treasury and payroll functions within the business, and own the relationships with our outsourced service providers to reliably deliver these functions
Ensure financial systems, processes and control environments are effective in supporting businesses growth
Compile and present high-quality management reports to the CEO and Board of Directors
Keep the financial performance of our company, subsidiaries, projects and other investments on track as we undergo a period of rapid expansion
Lead a team of accounting, administration and financial controls personnel and outside service providers
Oversee the accounting function including in-house team, outsourced providers, software, process standardization and financial reporting
Lead audit processes for all group entities
Oversee the preparation of budgets, actuals and forecasts of revenue and costs for all group entities and projects
Cashflow forecasting and optimization
Exploring hedging needs and handling of hedging, setup of hedging facilities
Tax structuring, international tax matters, tax filings and reporting
Intercompany loans, cost allocations, transfer pricing and related company services agreements
Project finance, negotiations with banks in conjunction with our parent company financial advisors
Bank account opening/closing, KYC processes
Tracking of development asset finances and valuation of development assets
Standardization of finance and other ERP processes across the business
To excel in this role, you will hold a Bachelor degree in a relevant field (Master degree is desirable) , and at least 15 years' experience in financial management and corporate finance, of which a significant proportion shall have been in a financial leadership role.
Exposure to financial management of development, construction and operation phases of infrastructure assets, as well as non-recourse project debt finance, are essential for the role. You will be able to demonstrate having established and managed financial management systems and processes for new project companies.
You will leverage your excellent communication and presentation skills in English (oral and written) to build strong working relationships with external service providers and other partners, advising senior team members as an authority figure in relation to financial project management, and producing and presenting high quality reports and presentations.
