What will I be doing?
1. To supervise, co-ordinate and participate in these activities:
- Preparation of all kinds of dough.
- Moulding and baking of bread rolls and other kinds of bread.
2. To check daily menus and function sheets to determine kind and quantity of breakfast pastries, rolls and other kinds of bread to prepare.
3. To prepare all ingredients for baking; measure and mix ingredients according to recipe; bake breads in oven as required.
4. To prepare all kinds of pies and breads according to recipes for all kitchen subsections.
5. To prepare all a la carte and special bakery items during service hours.
6. To plan production in order to have bread, breakfast pastries, etc., freshly baked when needed and in quantities specified.
7. To ensure that all kitchen outlets are supplied with their requirements for all bakery items.
8. To study preparation of new bakery items. What are we looking for?
A Chief Baker serving Hilton Worldwide Brand hotels and vacations are always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviors, skills, and values that follow:
A minimum of 2 years as a Chief Baker
Experience with high volume food production
Excellent planning and organizing skills
Ability multi-task and meet deadlines
Strong supervisory skills
A current, valid, and relevant trade qualification (proof may be required)
A creative approach to the production of food
A passion for producing high quality food
