Qualifications:
With at least 5 years post qualification work experience
Graduate of BS Accountancy or similar qualification
Ideally with experience working with QuickBooks Online
Extensive corporate tax experience
Exceptional computer skills, including Microsoft Office
Consistent, accurate, and thorough with an eye for details
Exceptional organizational skills and aptitude for numbers
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including spoken and written English
Customer service mentality
Able to thrive in a deadline-driven environment
Able to motivate the accounting team and lead by example
Responsibilities:
§ Manage and oversee the accounting team
§ Ensure the accuracy and completeness of the records of Empire's companies in the Philippines and for one overseas subsidiary, using QuickBooks online
§ Ensure adequate financial controls are in place and being followed
§ Prepare and submit BIR and other regulatory returns for the Philippines
§ Prepare management information for the Philippines and overseas subsidiary, including:
o Year to date P&L/forecast for the full year
o Cash flow report, including current cash position and forecast
o Debtor and creditor analysis
o Sales PO and invoice tracking
o Purchases PO and invoice tracking
o Inventory
o Fixed Asset Lapsing Schedule
§ Liaison with the Group's other Chief Accountant, based in Malaysia
§ Preparation of draft financial statements for the Philippines and overseas subsidiary
§ Liaison with the company's auditors in the Philippines
§ Management of the company's cash resources
§ Ensure compliance with latest tax and other statutory regulations and communicate current tax and accounting status and potential risks to senior management
§ Monitor and mentor/train junior/senior accountants
§ Maintain highly organized and updated electronic and physical accounting files
§ Work collaboratively with other teams within the company, including:
o Logistics
o Project Managers and Project Administration
o Human Resources
o Operations Manager
§ Perform other accounting duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time
