Job Description
Directs craft function in assigned field construction organization. Responsible for carrying out requisite craft activities within an assigned area of responsibility
Reads and understands isometric drawings, specifications and material lists to safely install process piping and utility systems; • Plans installation to avoid obstructions and to avoid interfering with activities of the other workers;
Directs assembly and installation of a variety of metal and nonmetal pipe and pipe fittings (valves, couplings, and other fittings) safely and effectively;
Checking work in progress and when finished, checked for compliance with supervisor's instructions on work sequence, procedures, methods, and deadlines
Answering workers' questions regarding procedures, policies, written instructions, and other directives (e.g., technical orders), obtaining needed information or decisions from the supervisor on problems that come up during the work.
Analyzing worker or production problems and recommending solutions, such as improving production methods or implementing motivational plans.
Safely and effectively directs pipe test crew when testing system for leaks using pneumatic and hydraulic testing methods
Oversees rigging and directs crews when lifting equipment and installing piping components
Qualifications:
A minimum of 7 year(s) of working experience is required.
Candidates must be a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate holder in Others or similar fields.
Male applicants are preferred for this role.
Ex-Bechtel preferred. Minimum 7 years of relevant work experience required. Must have good skills in speaking, writing, and reading English.
