Description
1. Joins, fabricates, and repairs metal and other weldable material by applying appropriate welding techniques.
2. Interprets blueprints, specifications, diagrams or schematics to determine appropriate welding process.
3. Inspects completed welds to determine structural soundness.
4. Familiar with and complies with all safety requirements and protocols for working in a hazardous environment.
5. Recognizes welding methods, welding materials, welding types and welding symbol specifications.
6. May prepare the materials and set up for a welding device .
7. May be required to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty.
8. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job
9. Works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function.
10. Perform other duties as directed by production leadman, foreman and supervisor.
