Strategic Direction. He is responsible for setting the overall strategic direction of the institution. He works with the Board of Directors and Senior Management to develop long-term goals, growth strategies and expansion plans.
Financial Performance. He is responsible for the Bank's financial performance and profitability. He works with relevant functions of the Management to establish financial goals, monitor financial indicators and undertake strategic financial decisions.
External Representation. He communicates the Bank's vision, strategy and financial performance to shareholders, regulators and the public. He represents the Bank in industry conferences, investor meetings and public fora.
Regulatory Compliance. He ensures that the Bank complies with all applicable laws, regulations and guidelines set forth by the regulatory authorities, while adhering to capital adequacy requirements and implementation of effective internal controls to manage risks.
Risk Management. He oversees the implementation of the Bank's risk management framework, policies and procedures, as duly approved by the Risk Management Committee and Board of Directors. He works closely with risk management professionals to identify, assess and mitigate various risks including credit risk, operational risk, market risk and liquidity risk.
Business Development. He drives business growth and expands the Bank's customer base by overseeing the development and implementation of marketing and customer acquisition strategies, establishing and nurturing relationships with key clients, and exploring new business opportunities.
Team Management. He oversees the Bank's talent management and organization development strategies in line with the Bank's vision, mission, values and goals. He provides leadership to Management to build a high performance culture through an environment of integrity, collaboration and meritocracy.
Technology and Transformation Management. He,in partnership with the Board, sets the Bank's overall direction on technology, innovation and transformation, as these align with, support and enable the organization's vision and strategic business imperatives. He determines and/or approves, within set limits and authorities, significant investments on technology and innovation, and ensures the Bank achieves the competitive advantage and benefits earmarked at the onset.
